You may have heard about Google’s new program: Google Guaranteed. For advertisers and PPC eCommerce campaign managers, it seems like a great new advertising opportunity. For consumers, it seems to offer an extra level of protection. On its surface, it looks like a win-win. However, is it the right tool for your business?
Google Guaranteed is not just about advertising. It is not even about Google giving you a stamp of approval, though you do get a special badge saying that you have been certified by Google if you enter into the Google Guaranteed program. It is also about obligations that come with that certification.
Local Service Ads
As the name suggests, Google Guaranteed offers customer protections for those who go with a Google Guaranteed business. To sign up for Google Guaranteed certification, you need to be using Local Services Ads. You submit your application and Google will, at no cost to you, check into your business licensing, insurance, online reviews, and even background checks for some of your employees, depending on the nature of your business. Once you pass the screening, you get a Google Guaranteed badge.
Consumers
For consumers, this guarantee means that if they have a problem with your service, they can seek reimbursement from Google. Google will then try to resolve things between you and the customer. You agree to abide by Google’s findings as it tries to establish a resolution between you and the customer. The guarantee has lifetime limits per invoice. These limits vary from country to country, but the current United States limit is $2,000.
While there are obligations, you get some tremendous benefits. Maybe you are already using Google Local Services Ads to generate potential leads. Perhaps you are using another type of PPC marketing tool to push your Google Ads to customers who are ready to buy. With the Google Guaranteed certification, you let your company, goods, or services stand out from the competition. You increase consumer confidence in you as a business.
Not all industries are covered. The program is still in a roll-out phase and is really focusing on home-based goods and services. However, auto repairs, financial planning, pet grooming, and event planning are a few of the non-home goods or services that can get the badge.
Google Guaranteed can help you boost your organic search leads, which can allow you to refocus your advertising campaigns. It can also help you make the most of a minimal advertising budget because it is not a paid advertising campaign. That said, the program is not free. It has a $50/month base cost, plus a cost per lead. However, the cost per lead is not the same as pay-per-click; basically, you are charged for conversions instead of clicks.

The Benefits
How is PPC Advertising Beneficial to Business? Properly executed PPC advertising can be a boon to business for many reasons.
It’s Fast
PPC is a great way to increase targeted traffic to your website, and it can do so quickly. While other online marketing strategies like SEO and email marketing can take a little time to build momentum, PPC can deliver an uptick in traffic in as little as a week. PPC gets working right away because you are bidding on keywords and audiences you have targeted specifically for your business.
Cost-Effective
Because of the structure of PPC, it’s much more cost-efficient than paying for regular advertising space. With PPC advertising your ad shows up on search engines or other platforms for users and demographics you have specifically targeted, and instead of paying for the space your ad appears in outright, you only pay Google or any other engine when your ad is clicked on. Since the users clicking on your ad are already interested in your product, and much more likely to convert, PPC is very cost-effective.
It’s a Revenue Generator
The fact that PPC ads generate traffic for your website with high-quality leads makes them a revenue booster. The better your landing pages are (we can help you with that!), the better your conversion rate will be and the better your ROI.
PPC campaigns are a specialty of ours at Shoreline, and we are confident that we have the plan and the support your business needs to use this valuable tool to expand your business. Save time and resources by working smarter with Shoreline. Talk to us today about getting you set up for PPC success.

Laser Sharp Targeting
PPC allows for hyper-targeting of qualified customers and allows you to do so in a number of different ways.
Demographics
Serve ads based on various factors about the user, like their age, gender, location, etc.
In Market
This allows you to present your ad in front of customers who have been searching for products or services that your business offers.
Custom Intent
Setting a custom intent audience with Google ads lets you choose keywords, phrases, URLs and more that are strongly related to the people most likely to make a purchase with you.
Remarketing
Remarketing is essentially serving ads to users who have clicked on your ads before—very helpful because they keep your business in the mind’s of previous customers.
Similar Audiences
This allows you to serve your ads to audiences similar to those that your remarketing campaigns are geared toward. Whatever the demographic that performs best on your remarketing campaigns, for instance, you can serve them ads without them searching out your product.
Content Keywords
Just like it sounds, this gives you the ability to target specific keywords within the content of your ad and serve the ad to users who enter that term into a search engine. These are versatile and easily customizable for different seasons, trends, or holidays.
It’s Easy For Customers
PPC makes it simple and convenient for the consumer. They are served with an ad for a product they are likely interested in or have searched for, and with one click they are on the landing page where they can make a purchase.
